Our Story
Lejla Kucevic and Eleni Stefanovski, co-founders of Little Tennis Aces, have an enormous love for the game of Tennis, having spent a large portion of their lives on tennis courts, competing at the highest levels. Their involvement with the game has provided them both with the knowledge required to guide the next generation in becoming world class tennis athletes.
With both co-founders having spent time within the corporate world following their tennis careers, the now mums have started to transfer their knowledge and experience of Tennis onto their own children and their children’s friends, to help them develop coordination skills, confidence, social awareness, and to just have fun!
Through this, the idea of Little Tennis Aces was born, with the purpose of creating a fun tennis program, tailored to toddlers and children (2-10 years old) in the St George and Sutherland Shire regions (with expansion into additional locations in 2022/23).
Above all, Little Tennis Aces is an affordable, fun and rewarding program, which will help provide growing kids with the right foundations and guide them in becoming little tennis superstars!
Meet the team
Lejla Kucevic
Lejla Kucevic first picked up a racquet at the age of 8 and fell in love with the game, quickly developing the skills needed to compete at the highest level in Australian junior tournaments. Lejla was a top junior in NSW for her age group and one of the top juniors in Australia.
From here, Lejla moved on to compete on the women's professional international circuit (ITF and WTA) where she obtained a professional world ranking as a teenager in 2008. Lejla received full scholarship offers from top universities in the USA, received sponsorships from Head and Yonex Tennis and was selected to be a part of the New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS), receiving guidance, mentoring and coaching from some of the best Australian coaches in the industry.
Lejla has prior experience coaching young kids and hopes to use this experience coupled with the knowledge and mentoring she’s received throughout her career, to help guide the next generation of little tennis stars.
Eleni Stefanovski
Eleni Stefanovski began playing tennis at the age of 6, where she quickly
realised a deep love for the game and for competing! Eleni began playing Australian junior titles and won her first under 12s Australian title at the age of 10.
Eleni received guidance, mentoring and coaching from the best in the industry including John Marks (former Australian Open Men’s finalist and Head Performance Coach Tennis Australia) and David Bailey (one of the world’s leading Tennis movement and footwork experts), and learnt a lot from competing against top ranked peers including Johanna Konta (currently top 20 in the world). Eleni went on to compete in the professional international circuit (ITF), receiving sponsorships from Head Tennis and Lipton.
Eleni is passionate about passing on the guidance and mentoring she has received to young tennis players and one day hopes to see a top world ranked player come through the Little Tennis Aces program!
